The Global Wisdom Foundation was born out of a deep recognition of the need to preserve and disseminate timeless wisdom from various cultures and traditions. Our founder, Gary Malkin, envisioned a world where the wisdom of the heart, body, soul, and spirit could be integrated to foster a more compassionate and humane society. Michael Stillwater, along with his wife Doris Laesser Stillwater, played a pivotal role in this vision by inviting Gary to collaborate on the creation of the globally acclaimed CD Gift book, GRACEFUL PASSAGES. Michael Stillwater also played a pivotal role in developing the original concept of “The LIVING LIBRARY”, which was the first template for the Global Wisdom Foundation. All of these initiatives, products, and training associated with them were designed to inspire deep faith in the continuity of life, even in the face of death and loss. The core goal as we envisioned it, was to elevate the global benchmark of spiritual maturity and intelligence in a dark, materialistic, greedy, and divisive world.

The foundation was inspired originally by Michael Stillwater, his wife, Doris Laesser Stillwater, and the extraordinarily collaborative process that brought forth what became the globally acclaimed GRACEFUL PASSAGES into being, released in early 2001. This first collaboration between Gary Malkin and the Stillwaters harnessed the power of film score quality music to underscore disarmingly spoken and authentic wisdom from the spiritual luminaries of our time. The first wisdom keepers that we interviewed in the late 90’s, such as Thich Nhat Hanh, Ram Dass, Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, and Arun Gandhi. This project laid the groundwork for the creation of the Global Wisdom Foundation.

Our mission is to harness the power of multimedia to deliver life-changing wisdom that supports individuals through significant life transitions. We aim to shift the global focus from an over-reliance on the rational mind to embracing holistic intelligence found in our hearts, bodies, souls, and spirits. Central to our mission is the promotion of Grief Literacy, which helps alleviate the fear, denial, and avoidance associated with change, loss, death, illness, and trauma.

In a world increasingly dominated by linear, rational thinking, the GWF seeks to restore balance by promoting the integration of heart-based, embodied, and spiritual wisdom that can be directly experienced as a tool for coherence on every scale- heart, body, soul, and mind. This shift is crucial for creating a more compassionate and unified global society, particularly in times of significant change and loss.

GWF provides resources and experiences that help individuals navigate life’s transitions with greater ease and grace. Our programs and multimedia offerings foster emotional resilience, spiritual growth, and a deeper connection to oneself and others. Through our emphasis on Grief Literacy, we empower individuals to face change and loss with courage and understanding.

By preserving and sharing timeless wisdom, GWF contributes to a culture of empathy, unity, and peace. We aim to inspire individuals and communities to embrace diverse forms of intelligence and to cultivate a more holistic approach to life and leadership. Our work helps to shift societal values towards the appreciation of wisdom over mere rational knowledge.

We immortalize the teachings of revered wisdom keepers through multimedia formats such as films, audio recordings, and written works. We utilize these expressions of living wisdom in all our trainings, workshops, and performances in some way. This ensures that their invaluable insights continue to inspire and guide future generations. Gary Malkin’s extensive library of over 500 hours of raw, unedited content from more than 140 Wisdom Keepers, including Desmond Tutu, Ram Dass, and Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, is a testament to this commitment.

The wisdom of past generations holds timeless truths and profound insights that can guide us through contemporary challenges. Preserving this wisdom helps us maintain a connection to our roots and fosters a sense of continuity and purpose. It also serves as a vital resource for future generations seeking guidance and inspiration.

We engage young people through innovative multimedia experiences and educational programs that highlight the relevance of ancient wisdom in today’s world. Our goal is to empower the next generation to lead with compassion, creativity, and a sense of global responsibility. We actively seek volunteers from every continent to help identify and record wisdom keepers, ensuring a diverse and inclusive repository of wisdom.

The Unity In Community is a series of workshops, presentations, and community musical events designed to awaken the “unitive experience.” These events aim to inspire collective healing, unity, and a deeper connection to the wisdom within and around us. The tour embodies the principles of the Holomovement, promoting the interconnectedness and interdependence of all beings.

Our courses are facilitated by Gary Malkin as well as his various collaborators, such as Hope Fitzgerald, Bruce Cryer, Dr. Jacqueline Chan, and Lynnea Brinkerhoff.  We’re exploring collaborative relationships with Sarah McCrum, (Author, LiberateHumanity.com)  Kim Rosen, (Author, Saved by a Poem), Mary Rockwood Lane (Arts and Healthcare), and Anodea Judith (Chakra Expert, Author), among others.

As a beneficiary of the Holomovement grant, GWF aligns with the movement’s principles of unity and interconnection. Our initiatives and the Resonance Revolution Tour embody the Holomovement’s vision of a world where all beings are interconnected and interdependent. This alignment supports our mission to foster global unity and compassion.

Individuals can participate by donating financial resources to our tax-deductible 501.c3 organization. People can also support us – and the information about our Resonance Revolution tours and concerts – by referring us to community leaders, healthcare institution leaders, faith-based organization leaders, as well as media professionals who would be interested in promoting our mission, vision, and events. People can also be helpful to us by helping us with non-profit grant writing so that we receive donations not only from individuals but also from granting organizations who share our values and goals.

People can also support us by attending our events, exploring our multimedia offerings, and supporting our initiatives through donations or volunteer work. Of course, people could also be incredibly helpful if they are willing to sponsor us in their area, initiating contact with influential in their community to help spread the word about our unitive work.

People can also support us by letting us know about known and unknown Wisdom Keepers in your area, wherever you are in the world so that we might be able to get sponsors to help us pay for the recording of their direct spoken messages, especially for luminaries who are advanced in age, and whose spoken wisdom would be lost forever if we didn’t record their messages to humanity. By engaging with GWF in any of these ways, you become part of a global community dedicated to fostering the preservation of wisdom and the building of a more compassionate world. We are particularly seeking heart-centered film composer professionals with great talent, expertise, and a desire to cocreate a more compassionate world. This would also include kindred-spirit videographers and cinematographers, audio and video editors, and sound engineers who have expertise in all aspects of media creation to help produce our multimedia content.

Donations are utilized to pay engineers, film composers, and videographers to produce our unique genre of wisdom delivery. This new multi-dimensional format integrates film score quality music with authentic spoken wisdom, creating a powerful and immersive experience. Your contributions help us preserve and disseminate this transformative wisdom, making a lasting impact on individuals and society. Donations are also used to underwrite our tours, workshops, presentations, and visits to areas all over the world. Donations are also helpful in paying honorariums for guest collaborative teachers, wisdom keepers, workshop leaders, authors, and influencers.
